The Garage.............

One day back in September, some of Jareds City buddies came out to play in the dirt at our house. Henry did our excavation for the garage.. And with the greatest of ease! He should get paid to do this for a living! We decided we were going to do the garage with just family and friends helping us, a lot cheaper, but this takes a lot longer!

Jared & Keith salivating over the power of a machine!
I think they wanted a turn to play in the dirt.
And then they brought the concrete trucks! Henry, Keith, Keith, Eric, & Jared!I sat with the Twins and watched them pour this, very cool to watch. Amazing how smooth it is when they are done with it!

Between my work schedule, the holidays, the snow, Jared just couldn't get the Trusses up, so reinforcements had to be called in.

This was the garage when I got home on the 13th. I can actually park in an enclosed garage now. First time in 8-9 years? So excited!

The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown......

Barner Farms picking out our pumpkins...
Beautiful day at the pumpkin patch.

and then.... Charlie Brown showed up..... (for those of you who don't know the gentleman in the background, he is Charlie Brown)

I think I like this one Mom...

And Charlotte just couldn't decide.

Grayson talking with Charlie Brown, discussing finding the Great Pumpkin!!
Say Cheese!
For those of you who know my daughter, she doesn't like Men in hats or glasses. Charlie Brown was holding Charlie Knoxs hand in two minutes of meeting each other.. Good Buddies by the end of the trip.
And this is the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown.
Grayson's facial expressions make me laugh..
This was the great photo opt, to no avail... We had a great time, the kids love running around, and touching all the pumpkins.. Weather was great and we found the Great Pumpkin...

A day at the park...... 21 months old

this picture was actually taken this summer by Brother Ted at our church picnic. You can still see a little bit of Grayson's blackeye! He was playing in the Bounce House here....

Brother Ted also took this at the church picnic this summer.. Love this picture of Charlotte.

And the day at the park begins... The weather was so nice last week, after work Jared and I took the Mini-me's to Tot Lot and nobody was there but us.. The kids had a blast.

Grayson figured out rather quickly that he could go down the slides all kinds of ways!

and then he found the REALLY big slide.. I had to get Jared's help with this one as the top of the slide was way over my head..

Our little man has over come his Croup and still has a bad case of the Whiney Child and we are hoping it will go away soon, but terrible two's are here and this may just be something we deal with?

And yet another way to go down the slide Mom..

Charlotte, it looks like the Mission Impossible theme song is playing in her head.

Big Kid slide and that is the top of Jared's head. They would climb up the ladder themselves and then, WEEEEEEEEE, down to the bottom to me.
Charlotte also beat her battle against Croup, and has no lasting Whiney Child effects.. Thank goodness!
She was getting ready to blink, she doesn't like the camera!
Too cute, my little punkin..

Zoom, zoom, zoom....
Hi! That's what she says to everyone now.. Hi and Bye, with a wave, lots of conversations with strangers when Charlie goes to Wal-mart. She also tries to reach out and touch people!!! I am always like what are you doing, STOP!! Too much..

From summer to fall............ And everything in between.

Sunrise in Louisiana
My sugar pie honey buns! We played everyday it was nice with this pool, and the slide going into it! They would cry when they had to come inside!! And it never got easier, well till it started to get too cold!
Who needs a sandbox mom, we have a mountain of dirt in our yard!
(Excavation for the garage) He is so happy to be in the dirt..

Charlotte's first black eye. She got in a fight with her books on her bookshelf!

Grayson's first black eye, also this summer, he got into a fight with his first step stool.
My little Charlie Girl, playing in the lovely dirt mound. Bath time anyone?
Vacation to Louisiana.. Breakfast at Papaw Billy and Mamaw Marsha's house.
Papaw with the Twins, trying to get them to rest... Good Luck.
Charlie and Gray, two peas in a pod! They were so tired at this point, Grayson didn't make it 5 minutes in the van before he cashed out!!!
4 Generations of The Knox Family!
Billy Glenn Knox age 65, Jared Glenn Knox age 30, Roselyn Knox age 86 (birthday this month going to be 87), Grayson Phillip Knox age 20 months, & Charlotte Rose Knox age 20 months

So our trip to Louisiana was great, the Twins did great on the trip down, so much better than i ever anticipated! We left at 7:50pm and made it to Louisiana in 14 hours! Within half an hour to an hour of our arrival, Charlotte ran away from playing basketball with her Dad and Brother and grabbed the horse fence! Which shocked the bajesus out of her, she cried for a couple of minutes. Then she stepped in a fire ant hole and they attacked her leg, but that didn't faze her one bit. Grayson busted his whole mouth open later that afternoon, blood everywhere, horsing around with Daddy! They jumped on Aunt Wendy's trampoline everyday, which tired them out. And Grayson rode on his cousin Logans horse, first horseback ride, and loved it. Charlotte would not get on that horse for nothing! She liked to look at the horses and pet them, but that was it!

We went down to celebrate Grandma Maggie's surprise 90th birthday party! So when I get some pictures back from that, I will post those too!

18 months old and ruling the world (so they think)

Charlotte @ 18 months and lovin life
Daddy is now the elephant ride at the zoo! And they love it! I need to buy him some knee pads!
Gabby @ the zoo with us, she got an airbrush dolphin tattoo! Pretty cool! Thanks for all your help Gabs, couldn't have done it without you!
Grandma and Grayson look over the Monkey's @ John Ball Park Zoo
Monkey?
Gabby and Charlotte looking down to the monkey's too!
Grayson's first petting zoo! He just wanted to ride everything!
Hollywood?
Happy 4th of July! We now have tradition, 2nd annual parade for the Knox Family! And it was interesting! Grayson slept through the entire parade again this year, but his hand was stuck in his snack cup the entire nap! Kid only thinks about food!
Whose driving to the parade?
Is Charlotte driving to the parade?
Yet another slithering friend of Jared's! Only the 3rd snake I ever saw @ Hawkshead! This snake was running from the storm! It was pouring outside that night!

So, it has been so crazy this summer! Where has the time gone? Well the twins are too much fun, they are so over the top sometimes, it makes me shake my head!
Grayson, is very vocal, and doesn't appreciate any sort of boundaries, he throws himself to the floor and flops like a fish out of water! Great, we love it! (Not!) He is off to the races any time his feet touch the floor, he is hands on dirty kid of the world and loves to just be free, I see him being a professional stunt man in his adult life! LORD help us! He is a super duper attention seeking child! His vocabulary is huge, and I am so proud of him! He says dead dog, (long story) shoes, grandma, bye bye, hot dog, Sissy, Bubba, Dora? we don't even watch the show? and banana, juice, butt-butt, while he scratches his cheeks, and his new favorite BUBBIES (boobies), all kinds of fun stuff. He has recently had his 1st black eye, emergency trip to the doctors office to check it out, big blood blister and cut to match! He is a brick house! We still call him bruiser just for that fact!

Charlotte is still a dainty little princess who loves to dig in the dirt! She is very thoughtful and methodical, and will play all by herself for very long periods of time, but loves to play with her brother! She has just picked up on tantrums, but is no where near as naughty as her brother. We try very hard to stay stearn with them, but sometimes you have to laugh, oh the faces Charlie will throw at you! And she hates the camera! Her vocab is also, off the charts! Most of the same words as her brother, but then she throws in random words like YELLOW? She can put her shoes on by herself, and on the right feet! She loves to be pretty and wear jewelry, but so does her brother! Is quite the daredevil as well, but she looks before she leaps. Is still a little smaller than her brother, maybe a pound or two and and inch shorter! But all in all, one strong independent little girl.

Here are some photos of this summer! Will promise to be my old shutterbug self and take lots more! I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer and is healthy and happy! We love you all!
Hugs and Smooches
Jared, Beth, Charlie and Gray!
