Crazy but happy family

Charlotte and Mommy

I think this speaks for himself here!

No smiling today Mom!

Handsome Boy
So we had a photographer come to our house since studios have proven not to be our friends. And trying to be organized with times, and lunch and naps I had Elliott arrive @ 12:30 but alas, our children skipped their nap that day! I think overall they did great, we tried to get one big happy family shot with us all looking but to no avail! It was definately an experience!!

Bathtime babies

Brushing his choppers? Upside down!
No toothbrush needed Mom, I'll just eat the whole tube!

Splish Splash Charlotte was takin' a bath!
So after the Twins bath, I pulled all the linens out of their bed. Nothings better than going to bed on clean sheets right? She pulled everything out of each crib into the middle of their bedroom and was just having a hay day with it?
I will not let you take my picture! That is what Grayson's thinking.
Charlie Girl, I got my snoring elephant, and I'm off!
Gray-Man Outside?
So our kids love the taste of Baby Magic Lotion, like you can't tell from this picture right? Charlotte sounds like a 5 alarm fire siren if you take it away from her. She would drink the lotion until she got sick if we'd let her! Hope you enjoy our new photos.. Kisses to all..

Think Spring & Moving? ( Started on 4.9.09 finished 4.10.09)

So life back at the ranch has been crazy. The Twins are so smart, they are absorbing like little sponges.. The other night Grayson was pointing to the front door and saying do-dog and I asked him, "Grayson, what does a dog say?" I swear, he said bow-wow! I went, but haven't we been teaching your Ruff-Ruff, or Arf-arf? Anyway, the kids love to make animal noises, Tigers, Lions, Monkeys, & dogs. They will have MAJOR tug-o-war fights with a blanket, to the point where Grayson lays on top of the blanket and holds it so Charlotte can't take it from him. Too funny. Charlotte is a little Linus off Charlie Brown, she loves her blankies!

Wednesdays are my day off from the plant, so it is the only day that I get to have "routine" with my children.. After breakfast and a fight with Grape Jelly, we went straight to the bath tub.. They played & splashed to their hearts content.. So I knew it was poopie time so I got them out of the tub and into their room, I was putting lotion on Charlotte, and just putting her diaper on, and I looked at Grayson in his closet, he was standing up going #1 & #2 simultaneously. NOTE TO SELF: Wait for baths till the morning poopie has come and left. I'll be darned if the only thing on the floor to grab and "catch" with was a white chanel blanket!! But you know what, Grayson was kinda proud that he didn't have a diaper on!

On another note, my last day at the plant looks to be 4.30.09, which I am excited to not work 6/12's, but sad to leave. I love that place and wish it was easier to get a job and not be temporary. But I am getting laid off just in time for my thyroid surgery on May 4th, so all seems to be in line for us..

We put another bid on yet another house yesterday (4.8.09). Can I say this? I hate house hunting! The next time, we are building!! (REVISION 4.10.09) Our bid was accepted!!!! So we now will be moving! Closing is May 14th I believe!! All inspections are to be done by Thursday of next week! Cross your fingers that inspections go well, and we keep this ball rolling.. Will keep you all posted on the house situation... Paint and hardware will be our friends, and new flooring as the entire house is lined with a thick emeraldish/tealish green carpet, 3 brm. 2 bth, 2 acres, property line is trees so we could barely see the road when we looked at it, imagine the trees in a few months!! CR 380 by Jericho Corners.. Will post more pics of kiddos tomorrow as I left the disc at home!

Hello baby!

Toy box rodeo riders... They will move the box away from the couch, into the middle of the living room floor now, mobile climbing wall?
Monkies, all they do is scale objects. They size it up and then, ready, set, climb!
So happy together?

Or maybe not so much?

Look at that face!

I took Grayson back to the doctor's office yesterday, Dr. Green was a little worried at how rapid his head was growing, but when she measured him yesterday, it tapered off, and they are very happy with his progress... He weighed in at 25lbs. 3 oz. and was 30.5 inches long. He is in the 65% for weight & 75% for height, & 97% for head circumfrance. Doctor said he is one healthy little/big boy. He just talked to her, and helped her with checking his vitals. While his sister sat next to him and played like she was shy, and peek-a-booed the whole time.
This kid......... He knows when he is naughty, if you get the "tone" with Grayson, he will throw down what ever he has, that he shouldn't, and slap his own hand and say NO. But with a smile on his face! He took his Grandma for a ride yesterday. We went to the store yesterday, and everything she gave him, he chucked out of the cart. But she won't listen to me, I kept telling her, "Mom, it's a game" He just laughs!
Charlies hair is long enough now that I can do Pigtails,
not just mini-pigtails on top of her head!

Charlotte had a hair tie in, and some how by the time I got home from work,
she had it almost pulled out, notice the wild piece above her right eye?

-Look at that hair-
This is when Daddy feeds them dinner and wipes the food out of his hair!
Wild man....

Living the life.........

So, it has been one heck of a year for us! These two Angels we have get busier and busier and are such daredevils, Jared has lost even more hair and I should have gray hair by now! I think it is safe to say that we have 2 full fledged Monkeys for children. My Mom said I was a serious climber and now I know how she must have felt. We have rearranged over and over to accommodate and try to eliminate injuries, but kids will be kids. The toy box, is down to just the box, no shelves, b/c Grayson climbs up and in a shelf that is 9 inches tall, maybe. Which then sets the standard for his dynamic duo other half, Charlotte will do anything her bro does! But she isn't rough and tough so when she falls, HOLY MOLY do we hear it!

Charlotte & Grayson love to eat! LOVE it. They love V-8 Fusion veggie/fruit juice, banana's are Grays fruit of choice, grapes for Charlie. All in all, whatever crosses their trays, goes in the belly.... And can we get a Hallelujah!!! Our kids are sleeping through the night! Finally, we have prayed for this for months. Grayson has so many teeth now, I can't even tell you all when you stick your finger in his mouth to count the new ones, he bites really hard, ask Charlotte! Charlie-girl has more teeth as well, not as many as her brother though, and isn't a biter. The Twins love to PLAY, they will just sit with each other and have a blast, I wish I could understand their language they share together. Speaking of language, Charlotte is really into being read to and talking, Dad, dog, shoe, button (belly) which she is obsessed with every one's belly's so beware if she's in your presence. Grayson is really into turning the pages of the books but could care less about sitting still long enough to read a whole one. He sings, all the time, and tries to say words as well, Dad, dog, hot dog, night-night.

Well I hope everyone has been enjoying the extra hours of light we are having and hopefully we will get some warm temperatures soon. I have been working like a crazy woman, the Rental Properties are all full, I start 6/12's Monday at Palisades, and have had a couple of events at the event center. WOW! I hate not seeing the babies until dinner time, but I know it is only temporary and will help out in the end. Jared and I are (cross your fingers) going to put a bid in on a house Friday or Saturday, it is down to the bare bones, and needs a lot of work, but was a foreclosure and is on 2+ Acres for 20K, so we are super duper excited! Will keep you posted.

What a year.....

My little mini me, Charlie-girl. She loves, loves, loves to walk around and talk. Non-stop! She loves her daddy, and the doggies, she gets our dogs to come right up to her and she acts like she is going to give them kisses, but pulls away at the last second and laughs.... She carries around a blanket, any blanket, sometimes two blankets. Loves her rocking horse and anything musical. But still not sleeping through the night on a daily basis. Dios Mio!
Cake time at their 1st Birthday party. Grayson was all about getting dirty, but his sister wasn't that into it.

We were really trying at getting a "Family" photo.. I think I am going to have to breakdown and go to a portrait studio? But these pics are fun, Grayson was hammin it up.

Charlie in Piggie-tails

My handsome little Grayman he is so smart, and fearless. This child BUMPS his head just as often as I change his diaper. He scares me sometimes.. Grayson is my little singer, he walks around mimicing, the TV, a musical toy, or singing along with me when I sing them songs. Loves his daddy and his mommy, very much, a cuddle bug, yet so independant.. Loves a silky blankie whenever, wherever, and still doesn't sleep through the night either..... But we are working on it.

Winter at Hawkshead

She loves her toy box, she is in it all the time, and is content playing in there all by herself. When Grayson gets in there with her, forget it! She gets very upset!

So, here is a sample of what's to come....

I have been slacking in the Blogger department and apologize... I have so much to tell, and show you all. but for now, this will have to do... This is a picture of us at Grayson and Charlotte's 1st Birthday party.... Hope you all enjoy.

Loving the food...............

Grayson enjoying PB&J, spaghetti and Kraft singles! It took Mommy over a half and hour to clean up this mess. Both babies got an early bath!
At 1st Charlotte seemed to be the "cleaner" of the 2, but she decided to run her fingers thru her hair, and everywhere else!

Classic Grayson. He has 6 teeth! They just keep coming through. He takes steps, but would rather dive at you. FYI, this is why his nickname is bruiser! Any day we should have full fledged running, the way he crawls, and "furniture surfs" he is quick!

Raghhhrrr! Look at that face. She's like a lion hiding in a bush, waiting to pounce on you!
My little Charlie girl, still 2 teeth, taking steps also, but not walking. She is so careful, she knows when to sit or grab on to something, she doesn't like to fall. I would bet all the Cheerios in the world, this child could beat any other in a crawling or furniture surfing race! My dad tried to race with her last weekend at their house, and couldn't keep up. It's like she turns on the super-octane baby go juice!!

Not enough words to describe these two here! Ham-bones, rolling around on the floor.

72 degrees in November!

Charlotte was crawling into the sunset, and she was movin'!
She was excited to crawl uphill, and beat daddy!
Grayson's profile
Ohhhh, soft grass!
Toes in the grass!

Well, we all know that Michigan's weather is unpredictable, but today was absolutely gorgeous! The twins and I went for a walk earlier today, but when Jared got home from work the lighting outside was so perfect, so we decided to take the babies on the golf course and let them crawl around.

Happy Halloween

Since our babies weren't happy with the giraffe costume, we decided to just let them be comfortable. We passed out candy to our trick-o-treaters, which may have been 10 kids and then they played inside with grandma and daddy. Busy night C & G, try to take it easy ok? Next year we will have fabulous costumes (cross your fingers it goes over better)

Bright eyes and happy smiles

Little man hanging out on the bench seat over looking the ravine
Both babies banging on the screens making music.

Hello momma, what can I do for you? I just love his hair! WILD MAN!

Elaina came over for dinner and found the bench seat to be a quiet place!

What? We didn't put all those smugs on the TV! The dogs did it..

Help the Baby Einstein music table has got me! She was so mad at the table and me for getting on the floor to take this picture. But how did you get under there child?

Time to put the dirty dishes away Daddy. Grayson was helping Jared clean the kitchen after dinner one night. He was all about the machine!

O how she loves her little brother. Slapping him around first thing in the morning!

Go Blue!
Daddy's football partners in crime.
So the babies are going to be 10 months old on the 7th of November, and they are so big... Grayson has 4 teeth, 2 on top now and his bottom 2, he is going to have the cutest smile.. Charlotte still just has 2 on bottom.
Both kids are ready to walk but just won't take the step, they laugh at us when we try to coax them into it and then they politely sit down on their humps!
Today Grayson figured out how to climb into the swing and bounce in it! Then he flipped backwards right back out of it, no tears, just got up and started playing with something else. This is why we call him "Bruiser"! Charlotte would rather be making lots of noise with her toys. She is also a climber, but on us or furniture. She figured out how to pull herself up on the bench window seats yesterday! Great, we childproofed this room now we need one big padded room for them! Monkey's I tell you!!!
So Charlotte says Hi Dada, and will repeat after me when I say "Hi you" in the morning when she wakes up or waking up from a nap. Grayson cries every morning when Dada leaves for work. He cries Dada, Dada, Dada and hangs on the baby gate waiting for Jared to come back-poor little man. Well I guess those were the highlights of our last 3 weeks.
We hope you all are well and in good health.
Happy Halloween
